1. Who these terms apply to
Philip A. King Digital Business Solutions is the customer-facing seller and first point of contact for hosting ordered through our customer portal. Shared-hosting infrastructure is supplied through Shock Hosting. We handle your order, invoices, subscription, communications and initial troubleshooting, and may escalate infrastructure issues to Shock Hosting. Shock Hosting is not automatically a party to your purchase agreement with us.
The service provider is Philip Amar King, trading as Philip A. King Digital Business Solutions, of Harmony Lodge Road, St. Philip, Barbados BB11000. This agreement covers orders placed directly with us; purchases made on another company’s website, including domains purchased directly from Shock Hosting, are governed by that company’s separate agreement.
2. Services and scope
We offer shared cPanel web hosting, optional managed website care and separately quoted development, ecommerce, automation, analytics and server configuration. A quote, statement of work or order summary identifies what is included. Hosting does not include website development, content management, backups on customer devices, or emergency malware remediation unless expressly purchased.
Domain search and registration links may refer customers to Shock Hosting as an independent registrar. We do not currently register those domains ourselves.
3. Orders, payment and renewals
Billing is handled by PhilipAKing.com through its WHMCS client portal. Prices in US dollars, the agreed billing cycle, taxes (if applicable), the renewal date and payment methods appear in checkout or the applicable invoice. Recurring hosting or care services continue for successive billing periods until cancelled.
The upstream host currently describes suspension after five days of non-payment and termination after thirty days. Those are Shock Hosting’s upstream timings, not a representation that our own WHMCS settings are configured identically. Please refer to your invoices, service notices and client portal for applicable billing dates and contact us with questions about suspension or termination. We may have to take protective action earlier if upstream access is restricted.
4. Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate account and billing details, keep credentials secure, maintain your own backups of important content, and have appropriate rights to material you upload or ask us to use. You are responsible for your own website content, lawful business activities, software licensing and compliance with applicable rules. Notify us promptly of suspected account compromise or abusive activity. A separate Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms.
5. Hosting availability and limitations
Hosting accounts operate on shared infrastructure. Plan disk allocations are 10 GB (Essential), 20 GB (Business) and 30 GB (Professional), subject to the product purchased and the actual configured WHM package. Storage capacity does not mean dedicated CPU, RAM, I/O or bandwidth. CloudLinux and other host-level limits may apply.
The upstream provider prohibits use of shared hosting as a general backup archive, file locker, media storage service, streaming platform, or resource-intensive compute environment. Customers must follow our Acceptable Use Policy and any applicable host requirements. We do not currently offer an independent 100% uptime guarantee or automatic service-credit entitlement. Any infrastructure outage or credit request will be investigated, escalated where appropriate, and addressed under our contract and applicable consumer law.
6. Support and managed care
Please open a support ticket with us for account access, cPanel provisioning, DNS/SSL, server availability or billing issues. We will address issues within our control and escalate host infrastructure faults to Shock Hosting. Shock Hosting’s direct support and response times do not constitute a direct support contract with our customers.
Managed care, application changes, recovery work, migration and development are separate services and are performed only within an agreed scope.
7. Security, backups and data
We apply reasonable safeguards and work with infrastructure and payment providers, but no hosting platform is risk-free. Shock Hosting currently describes daily cPanel backups retained for up to thirty days as a best-effort emergency measure, not a guaranteed customer backup service. Customers should independently maintain and periodically test their own offsite backups. Availability and restoration of upstream backups cannot be promised.
8. Suspensions and prohibited use
We may suspend or restrict services for serious breaches of our acceptable use rules, fraudulent payment activity, legal requests, imminent security threats, or applicable upstream provider enforcement. Where practicable, we will notify customers and give an opportunity to remedy an issue, but urgent action may be necessary to protect other users and the network.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Our Refund & Cancellation Policy describes how to request a review and cancel ongoing billing. All requests for products purchased from us must come through our client portal. Payment disputes and cancellations are handled by our business, not automatically by Shock Hosting.
10. Ownership of work
Unless your signed statement of work specifies otherwise, you retain ownership of materials you provide. Rights to custom deliverables, source code, design files and third-party elements must be specified in the applicable quote or project agreement. You receive only those licences explicitly granted to you; pre-existing tools, licensed components and third-party services remain subject to their owners’ terms.
11. Liability and disputes
We will use reasonable care and skill in providing contracted services. Outages, DDoS incidents, third-party software failures, upstream restrictions and other events can affect availability. We will investigate reported problems and coordinate remedies within our contractual responsibilities. Any limitation or exclusion of liability applies only to the extent allowed by mandatory applicable law; this policy does not remove non-excludable consumer rights.
12. Changes
We may update these terms for future transactions and continued services. Material changes affecting active recurring services will be communicated using available customer contact details where reasonably required. The version shown on the website when a new order is placed should be available to the customer.
Upstream hosting arrangements
Our hosting services operate subject to the applicable infrastructure rules, including the current Shock Hosting Terms and Acceptable Use Policy. These upstream rules can affect what content and workloads can be hosted and when infrastructure access may be restricted. Where they impose a stricter technical or safety restriction, we may need to enforce that restriction to continue providing the service. We will seek to explain material changes or interruptions where reasonably practicable.
For billing, cancellation, support, security concerns and refund requests relating to a purchase from PhilipAKing.com, contact our customer portal first. We will liaise with Shock Hosting when infrastructure assistance is required. Please do not submit PhilipAKing.com billing disputes directly to Shock Hosting.
