1. Scope and consumer rights
This policy applies to hosting and other services purchased from PhilipAKing.com. It is based in part on Shock Hosting’s published billing approach, but PhilipAKing.com remains responsible for reviewing purchases made through our checkout. Nothing in this policy excludes remedies that applicable law requires.
2. Web hosting subscriptions
Initial shared-hosting payments: contact our billing support within seven calendar days of initial activation or initial payment to request a refund review. This aligns with the upstream provider’s published seven-day case-by-case framework, but is not an unconditional money-back guarantee. We review the actual issue, activation status, service usage, costs and any applicable consumer protections before deciding the appropriate remedy, which may include remediation, partial or full refund or credit.
Subsequent renewal payments are not ordinarily part of this initial seven-day review window, but billing errors, materially undelivered services and mandatory statutory rights remain reviewable. We do not promise that Shock Hosting will reimburse us for a refund to our customer.
3. Billing errors and duplicate charges
Report duplicate charges, invoicing mistakes, failed provisioning and suspected unauthorized transactions promptly using our WHMCS billing support. We will reconcile the invoice against processor records and correct errors, including issuing an appropriate refund where required.
4. Managed care and subscriptions
Website Care and Business Care are separate ongoing services. Charges for completed care work normally remain payable. Cancellation stops future renewals subject to processing and billing cutoffs. Claims regarding non-delivery or faulty services will be reviewed fairly under the service agreement and applicable law. The initial hosting seven-day review is not automatically extended to managed care.
5. Custom websites, development and consulting
Custom projects and consulting follow their written quote or statement of work. Fees for completed milestones and approved non-recoverable third-party costs may be payable on cancellation. Where work has not been performed, or statutory rights require a remedy, we will assess a proportionate refund or alternative solution.
6. Domain names and third-party purchases
Domains purchased directly through Shock Hosting or another registrar are contracted and billed by that independent provider, not by PhilipAKing.com. Shock Hosting’s current terms state domain registration and transfer charges are generally non-refundable, subject to applicable law. We cannot cancel or refund a third-party purchase we did not sell.
7. How to cancel
To stop future billing, submit a cancellation request for the specific service from your PhilipAKing.com client portal or open an authenticated billing ticket. Requesting cancellation does not automatically reverse a completed invoice. Do not rely solely on stopping a PayPal subscription, as that may leave an active service or outstanding invoice in WHMCS.
8. How to request a refund or correction
To request a hosting refund review, open a billing ticket within seven calendar days of the initial purchase where possible, explain what went wrong, and provide the service and invoice references. We review requests individually and communicate the resolution through our own support system. Do not open a Shock Hosting refund ticket for a PhilipAKing.com invoice.
9. Effect of cancellation
Hosting accounts, sites, mailboxes and databases may become inaccessible after cancellation, suspension or termination and later be removed. Export your content and maintain your own backups before cancelling.
Relationship to the upstream refund policy
Shock Hosting publishes a seven-day initial-purchase, case-by-case refund approach for its direct customers: Terms and refund guidance. That upstream arrangement does not itself give PhilipAKing.com customers a direct right to a Shock Hosting refund. We are the point of contact for our own invoices.
For billing, cancellation, support, security concerns and refund requests relating to a purchase from PhilipAKing.com, contact our customer portal first. We will liaise with Shock Hosting when infrastructure assistance is required. Please do not submit PhilipAKing.com billing disputes directly to Shock Hosting.
